Undead Action Hero Battles Brain-Stealing Aliens in Comical New Mobile Title

Eyes Wide Games, Creators of The Walking Dead Social Game: Chronicles,

Announce The Incredible Corpse

ATLANTA – Oct. 31, 2013 – In a comical new twist on the zombie genre, The Incredible Corpse from Eyes Wide Games, the creators of The Walking Dead Social Game: Chronicles, pits an undead secret agent against alien invaders stealing human brains.  This stealth action game for iOS and Android devices will launch at the end of November.

Aliens have invaded and taken all of Earth's brains.  What the interstellar invaders didn’t count on was zombies and, more importantly, Earth’s most unlikely hero, the Incredible Corpse.  He's on a mission to get the brains back and he’s ready to kick alien ass.

A level-based game that incorporates stealth, action and puzzle gameplay features, the Incredible Corpse travels to locations around the world, tasked with recovering brains, putting a beat down on aliens and blowing up the invaders’ bases. Of course, he gets to snack along the way, but this corpse is more interested in saving humanity than eating them (for now). Players will use the game's touch and draw controls to help the action hero sneak into alien bases, past traps and onto unsuspecting enemies en-route to the human brains.

Gamers that want to help support development of more features in the game can review Eyes Wide Games’ Kickstarter.

Eyes Wide Games’ developers used their experience working on CSI: Crime City, The Walking Dead Social Game: Chronicles and other major brand name titles to come up with a fresh approach to an established genre.

“Everyone at Eyes Wide Games is a pop culture geek and the idea of combining some of our favorite genres: zombies, super heroes, secret agents, aliens and The King was just so deliciously ridiculous an idea that we knew we had to make this game,” Stephen Griffin, CEO, Eyes Wide Games, explains. “Once gamers try The Incredible Corpse, they will want to be super dead too."

Eyes Wide Games plans to release Chapter 1 for free. Chapters 2 – 6 will be available for purchase at $4.99 during launch. Every few months the company will release several new chapters for sale.

Retro-Styled Indie Adventure The Shivah: Kosher Edition Now Available for PC and iOS

In this newly remastered version of developer Wadjet Eye Games' debut, updated artwork and music enhance unique mystery set in poor New York City synagogue

NEW YORK - November 21, 2013 - The Shivah: Kosher Edition, a newly remastered version of Wadjet Eye Games' acclaimed 2006 adventure The Shivah, is now available for download on PC and iPad / iPhone / iPod touch. In this story-driven game players don the yarmulke of Russell Stone, a disillusioned rabbi at the head of a struggling New York City synagogue, who gets tangled up in a murder investigation after inheriting a large sum of money from a former congregation member.

The commercial debut of game designer Dave Gilbert, this unassuming adventure game sparked interest from mainstream publications including CNN, USA Today, and The Jerusalem Times and earned a "Best New Studio" Game Developer's Choice nomination for Gilbert's company, Wadjet Eye Games. In the seven years since, the self-sustaining Brooklyn-based studio has gained recognition for developing the supernatural Blackwell mystery games and publishing breakout indie hits such as Independent Game Festival winner Gemini Rue.

From its rabbinical conversation methods, Talmudic combat, and handy in-game Yiddish dictionary to its point-and-click gameplay reminiscent of classics like King's Quest and Monkey Island to its thoughtful storyline, The Shivah is a unique adventure game poised to appeal to Jews and goys alike. The new Kosher Edition has updated pixel art graphics, a new soundtrack, and a refined interface as intuitive and comfortable on touchscreen devices as it is on PC.

"Rabbi Stone and The Shivah jumpstarted my career in 2006, in more ways than one," says Dave Gilbert. "Working on this game was what made me decide to pursue this 'full time game developer' thing, and the positive reaction it received is what made me stick with indie development all these years. Creating The Shivah: Kosher Edition has been a wonderful experience of revisiting where it all began, and I look forward to sharing this revamped version with a wider audience."

The PC version of The Shivah: Kosher Edition sells for $4.99 and can be downloaded from the official website (http://www.shivahgame.com), Steam (http://store.steampowered.com/app/252370), and GOG (http://www.gog.com/game/the_shivah). A free PC demo can be downloaded from http://www.shivahgame.com/demo.

The iOS version of The Shivah: Kosher Edition is a Universal App that can be downloaded for $1.99 from the App Store (https://itunes.apple.com/app/id718923722).

Wadjet Eye Games' next major release will be Blackwell Epiphany, the fifth and final game in the popular Blackwell mystery series, coming to PC and iOS in Q1 of 2014.

The Second Annual 8-Bit Salute to Veterans: Helping Troops on Veterans Day!

It's that time of year, again...The Second Annual 8-bit Salute to Veterans: Helping Troops on Veterans Day!

Captain Stephen "Shanghai Six" Machuga, a former Army Airborne Ranger, founded Operation Supply Drop in 2010, after serving for eight years with the US Army, including 13 months in Iraq. (check out the video below to learn more about Operation Supply Drop and it's founder, Stephen Machuga)

The Second Annual 8-bit Salute to Veterans: Helping Troops on Veterans Day is on and The "IN" Show is proud to be a Team Member!

Operation Supply Drop has some BIG plans with the funds raised from November's Annual 8-bit Salute to Veterans! What are they doing with the money? Glad you asked...TWELVE (that's right, TWELVE) individual supply drops FULL of games to platoons deployed worldwide, including Afghanistan, Kuwait, Egypt, Honduras, AND even a team of Special Forces providing counterinsurgency support in the Philippines! PLUS: TWO extremely special supply drops going to both Walter Reed and Fort Belvoir Community Hospital for their day rooms: fully outfitted Xbox One and Playstation 4 kits for each hospital recovery wing! That’s right, Operation Supply Drop is going “next gen” in there!

And, even though this fundraiser is all games, it's already going to be a tough run and your help is needed! Operation Supply Drop is needing to double down this year on the effort due to a lot of their usual corporate level donors have already unloaded all the 360/PS3 stuff since gaming is sitting on the edge of a new console generation. (Operation Supply Drop has been getting a lot of "no" when typically they could count on boxes of games and swag to show up.)

Operation Supply Drop needs us all to do our part: join a team (you can join theINshow team), start a team, raise money, invite others and SPREAD THE WORD!

Game On!

Sword of the Stars: The Pit | Game Review written for @theINshow by "The Infamous Matty D" (Matt Hernandez)

SOTS: The Pit is an awesome classic-style Rougelike / RPG / Action game. Find the cure for the deadly plague that is taking over your world! Try to make your way through a number of floor levels chock-full of monsters and baddies down to "The Pit" by collecting and creating health items, weapons, and other miscellaneous and mysterious contraptions.

You start out by choosing one of five heroes, each of course from their own attribute class and with their own skill set. Make your way through a number of rooms around the floors to find the entrance down to the next level, but watch out!!! Booby traps (that’s what I said!), alien monsters, and bad robots alike are lurking around every corner and in your way. Use your "Psionic Powers" to suck the life force out of creatures when low on health. Find, mod, and even craft a number of awesome weapons to kill those baddies and make your way out!!!

One of the coolest features of the game is that very crafting feature, of course found on many other games but with it’s own uniqueness. There are an insane number of random items to find for health, gadgetry, and weaponry making. Fans of the Fallout series will love this game relatively as it contains all the elements of futuristic, spacey, post-apocalyptic, creature filled, nomadic worlds. Think of the original installments to compare the basic yet addicting overhead, third person gameplay… but combine with the newer version (3, New Vegas) features like weapon crafting, lock picking, computer hacking, health food and remedies, etc…

Then, as if that’s not enough, the mind-blowing expansion pack for the game, "Mind Games" adds a whole new element to the game: new items, weapons, mods, enemies, player classes, and new Psionic Powers. The almost spell-like powers can be leveled up and added to your arsenal to do even more damage in newer and more awesome ways, heal faster and stronger, and even use super mind powers like Telekinesis and Empathy!!

Rougelike fans will love the old-school style, third person, up and down floor levels. RPG fans will love the turn-based like actions, huge item inventories, and massive attribute/skill trees to level up and build. Action fans will of course love the weapons, explosives, and adrenaline rush of escaping to the next level to find the cure to save the world! Sword of the Stars: The Pit, and it’s awesome Mind Games expansion is a game that fans of multiple genres can enjoy for hours and hours on end!!! – MD
